We had tried two different types of sock which Cimmy hated and they spun around and were a pain to get on. The runner wasn’t woven so it was easy to cut with a Stanley knife to go around corners, and we just covered a path through the areas Cimmy walked on. We anchored it by taping it together at the cross roads and at any point that started to curl. It wasn’t the most attractive, but as it meant Cimmy could walk without splaying, it was worth it. It gave Cimmy years extra with us so I highly recommend people do whatever they can to make their fur babies comfortable.
