COVID 19: INFORMATION FOR VET CLINIC CLIENTS

Dear Clients.

We are asking you to help us remain open to provide health care for all your pets.

If you yourself are unwell but need to have your pet seen urgently, Please alert the staff when you ring. We will see your animal but need to take some extra sensible precautions.

We will ask you to remain in your car until we are ready to see the pet. We may see your pet in the car or in the back-yard of the clinic or in our back room-it will depend on the situation. That way we can minimize the spread of Any infection to other clients and staff.

If you need to collect medications or food for your pet and your yourself are unwell: In this instance, we ask you pre-order the items and where possible pay over the phone by credit card or bank-transfer. Once we have the medications ready, we will text you to collect them. The items will be brought out to you in your car by the staff, once you ring you are now outside.

Our Oak Flats Vet Clinic App is wonderfully suited to allow you to order what is needed and have it ready for your collection.

When in the Clinic, even if you are healthy, please observe the 1 metre spacing where possible ie don’t crowd the nurses, keep apart from other clients and if the reception area is busy, consider waiting outside the large window in a spaced queue where you will  be seen in turn or in your car.

If you have your children home with you and have no option but to bring the whole family to the clinic, please alert the staff to this issue. We will then organize a tailored program that gets your pet & your needs dealt with, but keep your children and our staff safe as well.

Please do not take personal offence and defensively insist you don’t have COVID when we ask you to keep the spacing. We are not wanting to offend people; we just want to keep everyone safe and working.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T WALK IN UNWELL & UNANNOUNCED AND EXPOSE STAFF TO AN AVOIDABLE CONDITION.

Where possible, we would like to minimise the use of cash and encourage use of our pay-wave machine for any transactions, even those less than $5.

If you are a current client and end up self-isolating, we can ‘cold-drop’ medications and pet-food to your house so don’t worry about that aspect.
